Hey there! If you’re a South African teen or young adult who’s currently looking for work, Bidvest International Logistics (BIL) is looking for fresh talent for its YES Programme 2026. This is a full‑time, 12‑month learning experience that will give you hands‑on jobs in the transport and logistics world, plus 25 online lessons that will build your knowledge and skills.
Deadline to apply: 18 November 2025
Where you can work: anywhere in South Africa
What the Bidvest International Logistics YES Programme is about
BIL has teamed up with the government to tackle youth unemployment through the Youth Employment Service (YES). The idea is simple: give young people real work experience while learning the basics of the transport and logistics industry. You’ll get paid, learn from professionals, and finish with a portfolio that shows what you’ve done. After a year, you’ll have a solid foundation for a career in this sector.
What you’ll do
- Work for 12 months full‑time with BIL
- Complete 25 modules on the YES learning platform – a mix of theory and practical tasks
- Put together a Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) at the end of your training, so you can show potential employers what you’ve mastered
Who can join?
- You must have finished Grade 12 or have a similar certificate.
- You need to be a South African citizen.
- Age between 18 and 34.
- You must be ready to work full‑time for a year and stay committed throughout.
- Show a real interest in how trucks, shipping, warehousing, and supply‑chain operations work.
- Right now you’re unemployed.
- You shouldn’t be enrolled in any school or college during 2026 or while you’re in the program.
- First time applying for a YES Programme – it can’t be a repeat entry.
What the right person looks like
If you’re self‑motivated, dependable, and ready to learn, you’ll fit right in. We’re looking for people who show responsibility, can keep a schedule, and are comfortable using a computer. Strong English communication is a plus, as it helps you read instructions and talk to teammates.
