What the opportunity is
The learnership gives you on‑the‑job training in the mining and platinum‑group metals industry. You will study while you work and finish with a nationally recognised Artisan qualification.
There are 16 learnership places across the Rustenburg Process sites – PMR, BMR, Convertor Plant and Waterval Smelters – in the North West province.
Who can apply
You must be unemployed and meet one of the following educational criteria:
- Matric or Technical Matric with at least 40 % in Mathematics, Physical Science and English (Mathematical Literacy does not count).
- An N2 or higher qualification that includes the subjects required for your chosen trade.
- An NCV Level 4 qualification in the relevant trade, with all subjects passed at 40 % or above.
Host‑community applicants will be given first preference, but all candidates must meet the trade‑specific subject requirements listed below.
