SACAA Contact Centre Traineeship 2026 – Kickstart Your Aviation Career

Join the South African Civil Aviation Authority as a Contact Centre Trainee
If you’ve just finished school or a short course and love talking to people, solving problems, and keeping things organized, this job is a great fit. The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) is looking for a fresh face to join its team in Centurion, Gauteng. As a Contact Centre Trainee, you will learn how to answer calls, reply to emails, and chat online with people who need help with SACAA services. You’ll work with real customers and help keep the whole system running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

1. Help Customers

  • Take phone calls, emails, and chat messages from the public and other users.
  • Answer questions about SACAA products, services and account details.
  • Record every interaction in the company’s customer‑relationship‑management (CRM) system so nobody’s question gets lost.
  • If a problem is too big to solve alone, pass it on to a senior teammate.
  • Make sure every call or message is finished within the time limits set by the company.
  • Send out a quick survey after each interaction so we know how people feel about our service.
  • Keep up‑to‑date on SACAA rules, policies and new services.
  • Work with your teammates to hit the team’s targets and key numbers.

2. Keep Things Organized

  • Pull together data for reports and meetings.
  • Prepare documents that are needed for team talks and other events.
  • Store files accurately and make sure the system is clean.
  • Follow each customer query until it’s fully resolved.
  • Arrange meetings and other activities for the department.
  • Look at simple statistics and give the managers a quick overview of how the centre is performing.

3. Keep Standards High

  • Follow the quality rules that SACAA has set.
  • Make sure every customer interaction meets the agreed‑upon service level agreements (SLAs).

Who Should Apply?

  • Minimum Education – A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Marketing, Communications, Consumer Studies, Business Administration, Management Studies or a related field.
  • Best‑Fit Education – A Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in one of those same fields.
  • Experience – At least one year working in a call centre or client‑services setting.

All positions are governed by the Civil Aviation Act and you’ll need to pass a security check. The Authority will give priority to candidates who fit its Employment Equity Plan. If you don’t hear back within 90 days after the closing date, it means the position was filled.

Why It’s a Good Choice

  • Real Work in Public Sector – You’ll be part of a respected organization that keeps South African air travel safe.
  • Learn About Aviation – Even if you’re not a pilot, you’ll see how the rules and procedures that keep planes on the right track are made and followed.
  • Hands‑On Customer Service – You’ll practice answering questions, handling complaints and making people feel heard.
  • Work with a CRM System – Most companies use software like this, and the skills you learn here will help in many other jobs.
  • Strong Foundation – These experiences open doors to future roles in customer relations, communication, or regulatory work.
