NCC Internship Programme 2026 – A Chance to Work With the National Consumer Commission

The National Consumer Commission (NCC) is looking for South African young graduates who are currently out of work to join its 2026 Internship Programme. This program gives you a real job experience in a government office, plus a mentor who will show you how the world of consumer protection and regulation really works. You’ll learn skills that will help you get a full‑time job later.

What the Internship Looks Like

The NCC internship is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will earn a stipend of R8,000 per month. It is aimed at people aged 18 to 35 who have finished university but have never done an internship before, in either the public or private sector. The program is split into several roles so you can pick the one that matches your degree.


1. Complaints & Investigations

Who can apply?

  • Matric (high school completion) + a Bachelor of Laws (LLB)

What you’ll do:
You will help look after customer complaints, investigate products, and support inspections that enforce the Consumer Protection Act. It’s a good way to see how law and consumer rights work together.


2. Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

Who can apply?

  • Matric + a National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in ICT

What you’ll do:
You’ll be part of the team that keeps the NCC’s computer systems running. That includes system coordination, maintenance, administration, and troubleshooting. You’ll learn the inner workings of a big organization’s technology needs.


3. Enforcement & Legal Services

4. Supply Chain Management

Who can apply?

  • Matric + a National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Procurement

What you’ll do:
You’ll help with procurement, tenders, travel arrangements, asset handling, and keeping records. This role teaches you how a big organization manages its resources.
