Mangaung Metro Municipality Finance Internship 2026 – Closes 17 July

Ready to start a career in municipal finance? Mangaung Metro Municipality is looking for fresh graduates to join its Finance Management Internship – and the deadline is fast approaching.

What is the internship?

The Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme (MFMIP) offers eight paid positions in the Finance Directorate of Mangaung Metro. It is based in Bloemfontein, Free State, and runs for 24 to 36 months.

Who can apply?

  • South African citizens, aged 21‑35.
  • Three‑year Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Risk Management or Auditing.
  • Willing to take part in all learning and work assignments.

What will you gain?

  • Hands‑on experience in budgeting, treasury, accounting, audit preparation and financial reporting.
  • Mentoring from senior municipal finance professionals.
  • Annual salary between R79 000 and R100 000, inclusive of all benefits.
  • Exposure to public‑sector financial legislation and governance systems.
