What is the ELRC Internship Programme 2026/2027?

The Education Labour Relations Council (ELRC) is offering a 24‑month graduate internship at its head office in Centurion, Gauteng. Six departments will take interns. The role is paid – the stipend follows ETDP SETA funding guidelines and ELRC policy.

Who can apply?

• South African citizen
• Unemployed graduate, aged 18‑35
• National Diploma or degree that matches the chosen department (see table below)
• Qualification from a recognised South African institution
• Never completed a SETA‑ or government‑funded graduate internship
• Good communication, computer literacy and willingness to learn

What you will gain

• Practical workplace experience in your field of study
• Exposure to real‑world tasks such as audit work, finance reporting, ICT support, supply‑chain processes, labour‑relations or collective‑bargaining administration
• Monthly stipend while you train

3. Write a brief cover note that names the department.
