Time is running out – the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality is accepting applications for its Financial Management / Internal Audit Internship 2026, and the deadline is just days away.
What the internship is
This is a twelve‑month paid placement (R120 000 per year) in the Internal Audit Unit of the Office of the Municipal Manager. It is based at the municipal headquarters in Klerksdorp, North West.
Who can apply
To be eligible you must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
- A Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma that includes at least one of the following subjects:
- Internal Auditing
- Auditing
- Financial Accounting
- Risk Management
- Good interpersonal skills and a strong sense of ethics
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Report‑writing experience
- Basic knowledge of South African local‑government legislation and the Constitution
- Understanding of local‑government oversight processes
