What the internship is
The Education Training and Development Practices SETA (ETDP SETA) and Waterberg TVET College are providing three paid internship programmes. Each placement runs for 24 months and carries a monthly stipend of R6 000. Successful interns will sign an agreement with ETDP SETA.
Who can apply
You may apply if you meet the following criteria:
- Unemployed youth with a South African ID.
- Completed Grade 12 or NCV Level 4.
- Hold a Diploma, Advanced Certificate or Occupational Certificate in the relevant field (IT, Public Administration/Business Management/Management Assistant, or Human Resources).
- Have not previously participated in any ETDP SETA internship programme.

How to apply – step by step
- Gather the required documents:
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae.
- Certified copy of your ID.
- Certified copies of all relevant qualifications.

- Choose the internship you want and note the correct reference number.
- Print a cover letter that clearly states the internship (including the reference number) you are applying for.
- Hand‑deliver the complete application package to one of the following reception desks before the deadline:
- Engineering and Skills Training Centre – Stand No. 10, Zone P, Lebowakgomo.
- Thabazimbi Campus – Extension 8, Regorogile, Thabazimbi.
- Central Office – Corner of Totius and Hooge Street, Mokopane.
- Make sure the envelope is clearly labelled with your name, contact details, and the internship reference number.

- Information Technology – 2 posts (Reference WTVET 2026/05/06) – NQF Level 6 – Sites: Engineering and Skills Training Centre, Lebowakgomo and Central Office.
- Public Administration / Business Management / Management Assistant – 2 posts (Reference WTVET 2026/07) – NQF Level 6 – Site: Central Office, Mokopane.
- Human Resources – 1 post (Reference WTVET 2026/08) – NQF Level 6 – Site: Thabazimbi Campus.
Requirements for each position
Information Technology
- Grade 12 or NCV Level 4.
- Diploma, Advanced Certificate or Occupational Certificate in Information Technology.
Public Administration / Business Management / Management Assistant
- Grade 12 or NCV Level 4.
- Diploma or Advanced Certificate in one of the listed fields.
Human Resources
- Grade 12 or NCV Level 4.
- Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Human Resources.
