Water Research Commission Internships 2026/27 – Apply by 13 July 2026

Need a place to start your career right now? The Water Research Commission is offering a 24‑month Internship and Work Integrated Learning Programme for unemployed South African graduates and TVET learners.

What the programme offers

This is a paid internship based in Centurion, Gauteng. It runs for two years and gives you hands‑on experience in a professional setting. You will be placed in one of several functional areas and work on real projects.

Who can apply

  • South African citizens who are currently unemployed.
  • Age between 18 and 35 years.
  • Never taken part in an internship before.
  • University graduates with a relevant National Diploma or Degree, or TVET learners with an N6 certificate and a college letter confirming the need for Work Integrated Learning.
  • Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

  1. Choose the role that matches your qualification and note its reference number.
  2. Prepare the required documents:
    • Updated CV.
    • Certified copy of your ID.
    • Certified copies of your qualifications and transcripts.
    • Proof of residential address.
    • Sworn affidavit confirming you have not done a prior internship.
    • For TVET applicants: certified N6 certificate and an official WIL placement letter from your college.
