What the opportunity is
The WFSA Bursary Programme funds undergraduate studies for eligible permanent staff, their children, or children under their legal guardianship who work within the Waitrose supply chain. It covers courses at recognised South African, Namibian, Zambian or Zimbabwean universities and TVET colleges.
Who can apply (eligibility)
- Permanent employee of a grower in the Waitrose supply chain who earns within the defined minimum‑wage bracket.
- Child of such an employee.
- Child under the legal guardianship of such an employee.
All applicants must:
- Be studying or intend to study for an undergraduate qualification in an approved field.
- Have provisional or confirmed acceptance at a recognised university or TVET college in South Africa, Namibia, Zambia or Zimbabwe.
What you gain
The bursary covers tuition and may include allowances for books and other study costs. It supports studies in:
- Agrisciences
- Business Sciences – commerce, logistics, retail
- Community Health and Social Sciences
- Education
- Medicine and Health Sciences
