Your Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

  • Tell a supervisor right away if you see any unsafe conditions or if something goes wrong.

What You Need to Qualify

Academic

  • Finish Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science (Mathematical Literacy is not enough).

  • In addition to the subjects above, you must either:

    Option 1 – N2 Engineering Studies or higher

    • Pass all required trade subjects with at least 40 %.

    Option 2 – NCV Level 4 in a related trade

    • Pass all subjects with at least 40 %.

Other

  • Live in the JTG District.
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence.
  • Provide proof of residence (including the high school you attended) that is no more than three months old.
  • Be able to get a Medical Fitness Certificate when needed.
