What the programme is
Transnet is offering a 12‑month Work Integrated Learning (WIL) trainee programme. It gives students and recent graduates a chance to work in a live environment while completing their studies. You will be placed in one of four locations – Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth or Ngqura – and will be attached to the Trans‑Corporate Centre’s Youth Development team.

- Matric certificate
- BEngTech or National Diploma with S4‑S5 theoretical coursework completed
- Study background in one of the following fields:
- Electrical Engineering – Heavy Current
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
