What the internship is

The Thandulwazi Trust Maths and Science Academy, part of St Stithians College, partners with the FirstRand FirstJob Programme to run an internship programme for unemployed South African graduates.

Internship period: 01 July 2026 – 30 June 2027
Location: Johannesburg North, Gauteng

Who can apply

To be eligible you must:

  • Hold a recognised Diploma or Degree
  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be between 19 and 34 years old
  • Have never taken part in an internship or learnership before
  • Live within 50 km of the St Stithians campus in Sandton
  • Not be enrolled as a full‑time student
  • Be able to work full‑time for the whole programme
  • Agree to background checks (criminal and credit)

Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups and to persons living with disabilities.

Interns will be placed in one of the following areas and will support real projects, administrative tasks and operations that match their studies:
