Silulumanzi 2027 Bursary for Engineering & Science Students

What the bursary offers

Silulumanzi (RF) (Pty) Ltd is opening its External Bursary Scheme for the 2027 academic year. The bursary supports South African students who want to qualify for jobs that match Silulumanzi’s water and engineering services.

Who can apply

To be eligible you must meet all of the following:

  • Grade 12 with a Bachelor Pass
  • Level 6 in Mathematics
  • Level 6 in Science
  • Proof of admission or acceptance at an accredited South African tertiary institution
  • Proof of residence in the specified area

The bursary is focused on students from Silulumanzi’s operational and contractual concession areas. Preference is given to:

  • Previously disadvantaged learners
  • People with disabilities
  • Female applicants
  • South African citizens living in the concession areas

After you graduate, you may be asked to complete an internship with Silulumanzi. The length of the internship will match the number of years you received funding. Read the bursary contract carefully before you accept.

How to apply – step by step

  1. Collect the official application form from any Silulumanzi Customer Care Office in KaNyamazane, Matsulu or Mbombela/Nelspruit.
  2. Gather the required documents:
    • Certified copy of your South African ID
    • Certified Grade 12 results or latest academic record
    • Proof of admission or acceptance at your chosen university/college
    • Proof of residence in the preferred area
    • Any additional supporting paperwork requested by Silulumanzi
  3. Complete the application form fully and legibly.
  4. Submit the form and documents either:
    • By post to: The Bursary Department, Human Resources, P.O. Box 12753, Mbombela, 1200
    • Or hand‑deliver to a Silulumanzi Customer Care Office in KaNyamazane, Matsulu or Mbombela/Nelspruit.

Application period: 01 October 2026 – 30 November 2026.
