SCO-TECH is inviting unemployed South African youth to apply for its Engineering Learnership Programme 2026. The application closes on 04 June 2026, so you need to act quickly.

What the learnership is

The programme gives you hands‑on experience in the Process and Maintenance Department of SCO‑TECH. It is designed for young people who want a career in engineering and technical trades.

Who can apply

You must meet all of the following:

  • South African citizen, aged 18‑35
  • Grade 12 or N2 qualification
  • Mathematics and Science passed at school
  • Basic computer skills

Fields you can choose

  • Diesel Mechanics
  • Instrumentation
  • Rigger
  • Welding
  • Electrical
  • Millwright
  • Boilermaker

What you will gain

  • Practical workplace skills in a real engineering environment
  • Training and mentorship from experienced professionals
  • Experience in both Pretoria, Gauteng and Durban, KwaZulu‑Natal
