What is the SARB Art Scholarship 2027?

The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) offers a fully‑funded scholarship for South African Fine Arts students. It supports you for the 2027 academic year so you can keep developing your art without financial stress.

Who can apply?

  • South African citizen
  • Under 35 years old
  • Enrolled for a 2027 Fine Arts qualification at a recognised, accredited South African tertiary institution
  • Financially needy – you cannot afford tuition without help
  • Meeting the academic minimum (see below)

How to apply – step by step

  1. Gather all required documents (see the list below).
  2. Prepare a digital portfolio of 6‑8 artworks created in 2025 or 2026.
  3. Write an artist statement of up to 300 words.

  6. Submit everything in PDF format either:
