Are you a South African graduate or a student who still needs hands‑on experience? The South African Council for Educators has opened its 2026 Internship Programme, and the deadline is fast approaching. What is the SACE Internship Programme 2026?

The South African Council for Educators (SACE) is offering an 18‑month paid internship for unemployed South African citizens who are 35 years old or younger. Interns will work at SACE’s head office in Centurion or at one of its provincial offices across the country.

Who can apply?

  • South African citizen
  • Unemployed
  • 35 years of age or younger
  • Completed a higher‑education qualification or need experiential training to finish your studies
  • No previous SACE internship experience
  • Willing to sign an 18‑month contract

What will you receive?

Interns are paid a monthly stipend that matches their NQF level:

  • NQF Level 6 – R5 000 per month
  • NQF Level 7 – R6 500 per month
  • NQF Level 8 – R7 500 per month
