What the learnership is

PathCare Academy is offering a paid learnership to train you as a Phlebotomy Technician. You will study theory at one of three PathCare campuses and do hands‑on work in PathCare laboratories and depots across South Africa. The programme begins in 2027.

Who can apply

You must have an NSC (Grade 12) pass meeting one of these criteria:

  • Life Science/Biology ≥ 50%
  • OR HBM ≥ 60% and Mathematics ≥ 40%
  • OR Mathematical Literacy ≥ 60%

Strong English skills and a basic understanding of Afrikaans are also required.

What you will gain

  • Practical experience collecting and processing blood and other body samples.
