​The Oudtshoorn Municipality is opening seven paid internships for unemployed youth who live in the Greater Oudtshoorn area. The deadline is 28 August 2026 at 12:00 noon, so you need to act quickly.

What the opportunity is

There are two internship programmes:

  • Five Work Integrated Learning (WIL) posts – 18 months, R5 500 per month.
  • Two Engineering Graduate Intern posts – 12 months, R10 400 per month.

All positions are based at Oudtshoorn Municipality, Western Cape.

Who can apply

You must meet every point below:

  • Age 18 – 35 years.
  • South African citizen.
  • Unemployed.
  • Permanent resident of the Greater Oudtshoorn municipal area (Oudtshoorn, Dysselsdorp, De Rust or nearby rural areas).
  • Proof of residential address.
  • Relevant qualification for the chosen programme (HRM, Public Administration, related fields for WIL; any engineering discipline for the graduate posts).

  1. Obtain the prescribed municipal application form. You can collect it in person at the Oudtshoorn Municipality offices or request it through their official vacancy notice.

    • Current CV.
    • Certified copies of your qualifications (not older than three months).
    • Certified copy of your ID (not older than three months).
    • Proof of residence (utility bill, lease agreement, etc.).
