What the internship offers
Ntabankulu Local Municipality, Eastern Cape, is looking for two Finance Interns to join the Budget & Treasury Office. The role is a two‑year contract with an annual salary of R100 000. Interns will work on municipal finance, accounting, procurement, payroll, revenue management and supply‑chain processes.
Who can apply
To be eligible you must:
- Have a Matric certificate.
- Hold a National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Be computer‑literate.
- Proof that you live within Ntabankulu Local Municipality – this is mandatory.
What you will gain
The internship gives you real‑world exposure to:
- Collecting, verifying and reporting financial data.
- Preparing weekly and monthly financial statements.
- Procurement and payroll administration.
- Financial management reforms under the Municipal Finance Management Act.
- Using spreadsheets, databases and the municipality’s accounting system.
- Revenue and supply‑chain management.
How to apply – step by step

- Prepare a detailed CV.
- Gather certified copies (no older than three months) of:
- Your academic qualifications.
- Your ID document.
