  • Be a South African citizen, aged 18 to 35.

  • Have a strong academic record in core STEM subjects.

What will you gain?

During the programme you will:

  • Work on structured assignments that contribute to active, high‑impact projects.
  • Receive continuous mentorship from senior scientists and engineers.
  • Attend on‑the‑job training, specialist courses and technical workshops.
  • Develop professional skills such as leadership, communication, and critical thinking.
  • Build a network within South Africa’s nuclear and technology sectors.

How to apply – step by step

  1. Gather the required documents: updated CV, certified academic transcripts, ID copy and any relevant certificates.
  2. Visit the official application page: Necsa Graduate in Training Programme 2026.

  4. Upload your CV and supporting documents in the requested format (PDF preferred).
  5. Submit the application and note the reference number GIT-AC-AR for future correspondence.

Tips to improve your chances

  • Tailor your CV to highlight any research, lab work or project experience related to radiation, chemistry or engineering.
  • Write a concise cover letter that explains why you want to work in nuclear science and how your skills match the programme.
  • Proofread all documents – spelling or formatting errors can hurt your credibility.
  • Ensure your contact details are correct; you will only be notified by email or phone if you are shortlisted.
  • Do not submit a hand‑delivered application – it will be automatically disqualified.

Final thoughts

This Graduate in Training Programme offers a solid entry point into South Africa’s nuclear and technology industries. It does not guarantee a permanent job, but it does give you hands‑on experience, mentorship and a chance to build a professional network. If you meet the eligibility criteria, apply before the 19 June 2026 deadline.
