What is the opportunity?
Nampak is hiring apprentices for its Engineering Department at the Metals Vanderbijlpark operation. The role combines classroom learning with hands‑on work on the plant floor. You will be trained as a Mechanical Fitter, Electrical apprentice, or Fitter & Turner.
Who can apply?
To be eligible you must have:
- Matric certificate with Mathematics, Physical Science and English as a second language
- At least 50 % overall in the required subjects
- NTC3 Engineering (or higher) with the relevant trade theory subject
- Certificates and transcripts that clearly show subjects and marks
- Basic computer skills and a basic understanding of engineering concepts
The apprenticeship is based in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng. Six positions are available – two for each trade.
