MRTT & ETDP SETA Graduate Internship 2026 – Apply by 04 Sep

Ready to start your career right after graduation? The Mpumalanga Regional Training Trust (MRTT), together with ETDP SETA Mpumalanga Province, is offering seven paid graduate internships for 2026. The deadline is 04 September 2026, so act now.

What the internship is

The MRTT Graduate Internship Programme is a 24‑month, full‑time placement. It is funded by ETDP SETA and will take place in Emalahleni and Mbombela, Mpumalanga.

Stipends are R6 000 per month for NQF Level 6 posts and R7 500 per month for NQF Level 7 posts. All interns start on 01 October 2026.

Who can apply

You must hold a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) and the relevant qualification for the role you choose.

  • Finance Administrator – NQF 6 Finance National Diploma
  • Human Resources & Administration – NQF 7 HR Management Degree or Advanced Diploma
  • Legal Administrator – NQF 7 Legal Studies Degree or Advanced Diploma
  • Project Management – NQF 7 Project Management Degree or Advanced Diploma
  • Assessor: Hospitality/Culinary Studies (2 posts) – NQF 6 Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts Diploma (Facilitator/Assessor Certificate is a plus)
  • Risk Management & Audit – NQF 6 Accounting, Internal Auditing or Risk Management qualification

What you will gain

Each placement gives you hands‑on experience in a real workplace. You will develop skills such as:

  • Financial administration, credit control and project budgeting
  • HR generalist tasks, payroll processing and employee relations
  • Legal drafting, board support and document management
  • Project planning, resource allocation and performance monitoring
  • Assessing learners, preparing feedback and managing budgets
  • Risk identification, audit support and preparation of working papers
