Do you want a chance to work outdoors, earn a salary and gain real‑world skills before the 28 August 2026 deadline? The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) is opening its Learnership Programme 2026 for unemployed youth living in Mpumalanga.

What the learnership offers

MTPA will place you in a practical role within the province’s tourism and park services. You will learn on the job, develop employable skills and receive a monthly stipend while you work.

Who can apply

  • South African citizens, unemployed, aged 18‑35
  • Resident of Mpumalanga (provide valid proof of residence)
  • Completed Grade 12
  • Not studying at a tertiary institution
  • Not currently registered for or participating in another learnership
  • Willing to work outdoors and do practical tasks

What you will gain

  • Hands‑on experience in tourism, wildlife and park management
  • Professional workplace habits and a recognised learnership certificate
  • Network contacts within the public sector
  • Financial support while you train

How to apply – step by step

  1. Gather the required documents:
    • Cover letter stating the learnership you are applying for
    • Updated CV
    • Grade 12 certificate
    • Copy of your ID
    • Proof of residence (e.g., municipal bill)
  2. Print all documents. Do NOT send them by email.
  3. Hand‑deliver the complete file to the nearest MTPA station or nature reserve, **or** to the head office at:

  4. Make sure the submission reaches the office before 28 August 2026 at 16:00. Late files will be rejected.
