Are you a recent graduate who loves coding, AI and media? Media24, South Africa’s biggest news company, is looking for fresh talent to join its 12‑month Technology Internship in Cape Town. This program lets you work on real projects for top brands like News24, Netwerk24 and Daily Sun while you learn from experienced engineers. What the internship is all about
During the year you’ll work side by side with teams that design, build and launch smart systems. You’ll use cloud services, test new AI models and help create tools that read language, predict trends, and make data easier to use. The internship is built to teach you how to turn an idea into a finished product that people actually use.
Your daily tasks
- Work with cloud platforms and AI tools.
- Join product and engineering teams from different backgrounds.
- See the whole cycle of AI projects—from brainstorming to going live.

Who can join?
You need a degree (or close equivalent) in BSc Honours, Electronics Engineering or a related field. You should have studied Maths, Statistics or Computer Science, or shown real programming skills. A minimum average of 65 % is required.
If you’ve already taken 2nd or 3rd‑year Maths & Statistics, that’s a plus.
You must be a South African citizen.
You should also know basics of AI algorithms like Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Random Forests, Boosted Trees and Multilayer Perceptron.
