iMas Insurance Brokers is inviting unemployed South African youth from previously disadvantaged groups to apply for Short‑Term and Long‑Term Insurance Learnership Opportunities for 2026/2027.

What the learnership is

This is a 12‑month, paid learnership that blends classroom theory with on‑the‑job training in the insurance sector. You will work either in sales or administration and study toward an NQF Level 4 Insurance Qualification.

Location: Centurion, Gauteng or Secunda, Mpumalanga.

Monthly allowance: R6 000.

Application deadline: 07 October 2026.

Who can apply

You must meet all of the following:

  • Completed Grade 12.
  • Pass in Mathematics or Accounting.
  • Currently unemployed and not enrolled in any other study programme.
  • Not already part of another learnership, internship, or YES programme.
  • Available to start immediately.

Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups and to persons with disabilities.

What you will gain

Successful learners receive:

  • Hands‑on experience in insurance sales and/or administration.
  • Exposure to both short‑term and long‑term insurance products.
  • Structured theoretical training and a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
  • On‑the‑job coaching, mentoring and a pathway to an NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • Development of practical skills such as research, risk assessment, financial literacy, legislative compliance, ethical decision‑making and customer service.
