H&I Construction is one of the top contractors in Cape Town. The company works on a lot of major building and infrastructure jobs, from highways to bridges to schools.
Their 2026 Graduate Internship Programme is a step‑by‑step learning path. It pairs you with a senior mentor, gives you hands‑on training, and helps you move from classroom ideas to real design work.
You’ll get to work on real projects, use the latest tools, and see how a team plans, builds, checks, and finishes a job. By the end of the programme, you’ll have a solid understanding of how engineering, technology, and surveying all fit together in the construction world.
Which Degrees Work?
The internship is open to students who are finishing or have finished these courses:
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Land Surveying
If you’re studying one of these subjects, you can apply. We want people who are fresh out of school and ready to learn quickly.
Who Can Apply?
Here’s what you need to meet.
- You must hold South African citizenship.
- You must finish an Advanced Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering (Technology, Science, or Engineering), or Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Land Surveying by the end of 2025.
- You must be younger than 25 years old.
- You must have a valid driver’s licence.
