What the opportunity is
Hessequa Municipality in the Western Cape is offering a 12‑month internship in Information Technology / Information Systems. The role is designed to give you hands‑on support experience in a municipal environment.
Who can apply
- Holders of a National Certificate N6 in Information Technology from a TVET college, or a related IT/Information Systems qualification from a South African university.
- Applicants who live in the Hessequa region will be given preference.
- People with an A+ certificate are favoured, but not mandatory.
- Valid Code B driver’s licence.
- Computer‑literacy, good health and the ability to travel to work sites.
What you will gain
- Monthly stipend of R6 500 if you are a graduate, or R4 000 if you are still a student.
- Practical training in first‑line ICT support, troubleshooting hardware and software, and user assistance.
- Experience installing PCs, peripherals, network cabling and managing IT assets.
