Greater Letaba Municipality EPWP Technical Jobs 2026 – Apply 17 July

What is the opportunity?

The Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) in the Technical Services Department offers fixed‑term, 11‑month contracts. You will work 23 days a month on municipal projects and receive a daily wage. A total of 76 posts are available across four job categories.

Who can apply?

Open to South African citizens who are unemployed and aged 18‑35. Specific requirements per role are listed below.

1. Data Capturer – 1 post

  • Higher Certificate in Office Administration, Public Management or similar
  • At least 12 months of admin experience
  • Good computer skills – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

2. Skilled Workers – 10 posts

  • National Certificate Vocational (NCV) Level 4 or equivalent

3. Skilled Infrastructure Workers – 32 posts

  • NCV Level 4 or equivalent

4. Unskilled Environmental Workers – 33 posts

  • NCV Level 2 or basic education (Grade 12)

What will you gain?

All positions provide:

  • Practical municipal work experience
  • Daily wage – R250 for skilled roles, R200 for unskilled
  • Estimated monthly earnings: R5 750 (skilled) or R4 600 (unskilled)
  • Experience working under municipal foremen and contributing to community projects
  • Potential references for future jobs or learnerships
