Act now – the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2026 closes on 1 June at 12:00. This is a chance to get real‑world experience in the insurance sector while you finish your studies. Gert Sibande TVET College, together with the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA), is looking for unemployed learners who need workplace exposure.
What the programme offers
The WIL Programme runs for 18 months and places you in insurance companies or funeral parlours across the Gert Sibande region of Mpumalanga. You will earn hands‑on skills that boost your employability after you finish your qualification.
Who can apply
You are eligible if you meet all of the following:
- Age 18 – 35
- South African citizen
- Currently unemployed and not studying
- No criminal record
- Fluent in English
- Registered or former student of Gert Sibande TVET College
- Hold N4, N5 or N6 certificates, or a DHET Statement of Results, in one of these Report 191 Business Studies programmes:
- Management Assistant
- Human Resource Management
- Financial Management
Students who are volunteering outside the insurance industry are advised not to apply.

How to apply – step by step
- Collect the required documents (see list below). All certified copies must be dated within the last six months.
- Write a clear, up‑to‑date CV.
- Choose the campus where you will submit your application.
- Hand‑deliver the package to the Student Support Services or Career Guidance & Job Placement Office, or email it to the campus contact listed.
- Make sure you send your application well before 01 June 2026, 12:00.
