The Free State Department of Health is looking for South African graduates to fill 99 Graduate Internship posts for 2026. The internships run for 24 months and are paid R98 087 per year. Applications close on 04 September 2026.

Placements are at hospitals, district offices and health facilities throughout the Free State.
Who can apply – eligibility
- South African citizen
- Completed Grade 12
- Relevant NQF Level 6 National Diploma or NQF Level 7/8 Degree in the chosen field
- Must not have already completed a 24‑month internship programme
- Dental Assistant applicants must be registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
- Historically disadvantaged applicants will be given preference
