The Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) is opening a 24‑month internship program that is aimed at fresh graduates who are not currently working. The program will run from now until the end of 2025 and it takes place at the Western Cape Provincial Office in Bellville. What You’ll Do
You’ll get hands‑on experience in one of two areas: Finance or Human Resources. The internship will help you see how a government agency manages money, keeps records, and hires people. It also lets you learn about the day‑to‑day operations that keep elections running smoothly.
Finance Internship

You need at least a Grade 12 diploma, a bachelor’s or a three‑year diploma in Public Finance, Finance, Financial Management or Accounting. A postgraduate qualification can help you stand out, but it’s not mandatory.
Human Resources & Training Internship

You also need a Grade 12 diploma, a bachelor’s or a three‑year diploma in Human Resource Management, Training & Development or Organisational Development. A postgraduate qualification is a bonus.
