Ekurhuleni West TVET College: 2026 Trainee Programs for Graduates

If you’re a fresh graduate who hasn’t finished a long internship yet, the Ekurhuleni West TVET College in Boksburg is looking for you. They need two Management Assistant Trainees and one Financial Management Trainee for an 18‑month temporary contract. These roles will give you hands‑on office experience, help you build useful skills, and pay you a modest stipend while you learn.

  • Stipend: R4 326 per month

The jobs are open to anyone who has not already completed an 18‑month internship. People with disabilities are especially welcome to apply.


The Two Management Assistant Posts

You’ll be helping with a range of office tasks. Your daily job might include:

  • Taking phone calls and telling people where they need to go
  • Greet visitors and answer questions
  • Read, write and organise emails, letters and meeting minutes
  • Keep files in order and manage records
  • Handle mail and faxes
  • Enter data into computers
  • Assist with student registrations
  • Keep track of important information

You’ll be working under a manager who will show you how to do these tasks right. The reference numbers for these two posts are EWC Bok/09/2025 and EWC Bok/08/2025.


The Financial Management Post

This role is a little different. You’ll help the college manage money and student aid. Your duties will include:

  • Filling out bursary forms and schedules for students
  • Explaining the application steps to students
  • Checking applications against the official checklist (SSS FOR 008)
  • Sending finished applications to the SSS Corporate Centre
  • Following up on responses from SSS‑CC or NSFAS
  • Processing claims for accommodation and transport
  • Keeping accurate records

The reference number for this position is Bok/10/2025.


What You Need to Apply

You must hand‑deliver your application – no email or mail. Put your name, the job title, and the reference number on the envelope or inside the application. Bring the following:

  1. New Z83 Application for Employment Form – the form that was introduced on 1 January 2021. Old Z83 forms do not count.
  2. A résumé (CV) that lists at least three references with their email addresses.
  3. Certified originals of:
    • Your academic transcript
    • Your matric certificate
    • Your N4–N6 certificates
    • A copy of your South African ID (both sides)

Important Points to Remember

  • The college will only call people who have been shortlisted.
