Eastern Cape Department of Community Safety is looking for unemployed South African graduates to join its Labour Relations Internship Programme 2026/27. The deadline is fast approaching – you have until 10 July 2026 to apply, so act now.
What the internship is
This is a 24‑month, paid internship based in Bhisho, Eastern Cape. The post is titled Intern – Labour Relations and carries an annual salary of R98 097. It is part of the Department’s effort to increase representation, especially for women and people with disabilities.
Who can apply
To be eligible, you must meet all of the following:
- South African citizen with no criminal record.
- Unemployed graduate holding a National Diploma or Degree in Labour Relations, Labour Law, Human Resource Management, or Industrial Psychology.
- Never have taken part in another internship programme (past or current).
What you will gain
The placement gives you hands‑on experience in public‑sector labour relations, employee relations, workplace policies and HR management. You will develop practical skills that are valued by both government and private employers.
How to apply – step by step
