EASTC Multi-Trade Engineering Apprenticeship 2026 – Apply by 29 May

EASTC is calling on unemployed youth to act now and apply for the Multi‑Trade Engineering Apprenticeship Programme 2026. The deadline is fast approaching – you have until 29 May 2026 to secure a place.

What the programme offers

The apprenticeship runs for three years at EASTC’s site in Kempton Park, Gauteng. It is designed to turn beginners into skilled artisans in high‑demand engineering trades.

Who can apply

You are eligible if you are:

  • Unemployed and looking for a long‑term career path
  • Willing to commit to a full three‑year training period
  • Interested in one of the listed trades (see below)

There are no formal qualifications required, but a basic level of education (Grade 10 or higher) and a genuine interest in hands‑on work will help.

What you will gain

Successful apprentices receive a monthly stipend of R3 000. In addition you will get:

  • Practical, on‑the‑job training
  • Technical knowledge specific to your trade
  • Exposure to a real engineering environment
  • Support to become a certified artisan

  • Plumbing
  • Boiler Making
  • Welding

How to apply – step by step

  1. Update your CV. Highlight any school projects, volunteer work or informal experience that relates to the trade you prefer.
  2. Print a clean copy of your CV (A4, single‑sided).
  3. Write a brief cover letter stating which trade you are applying for and why you want the apprenticeship.
  4. Gather an identity document (ID) copy – it may be requested later.
  5. Hand‑deliver the documents to:
