Want a job that pays and teaches you a valuable skill?** EASTC Technocentric Varsity and SEDFA are offering an Electrical Apprenticeship for 2026.** If you’re a South African youth who isn’t working or studying, especially from Mpumalanga, this is your chance to become a certified electrician. The program runs in Kempton Park, Gauteng, and starts with classroom lessons followed by hands‑on work. The deadline for applying is 4 January 2026.
What the Apprenticeship Looks Like
The goal is simple: give unemployed young people a clear path to a stable career in the electrical trade. You’ll learn everything from wiring basics to advanced troubleshooting, while gaining real‑world experience in a controlled setting. At the end of the training you’ll receive a certificate that shows you have the skills employers want.
Every month, participants receive a stipend of R3 000 to help cover living expenses during the program. If you have a disability, we encourage you to join – we’re committed to making the training accessible for everyone.
Who Can Apply?
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Should not be working or enrolled in any other course right now.
- Need a Grade 12 pass, with Maths. A grade in Physical Science is a bonus.
- No upper age limit – the only requirement is that you’re a young person looking to start a career.
- Must live in Mpumalanga and be willing to move to Gauteng for training.
- Need to submit these scanned documents:
- Updated CV.
- Copy of your ID.
- Grade 12 results.
- Proof of where you live.
