The City of Johannesburg (CoJ) has just pushed back the deadline for its internship program. If you’re a student or a recent graduate who wants a real‑world experience in arts, heritage, museums, or even legal work, you now have a fresh chance to apply. The internships run for up to 18 months and pay a steady monthly stipend. The only way to join is by sending your application online – no paper or email versions will work. The new closing date is 16 February 2026.


Internship Circular 003/2026 – Community Development Department

The Community Development Department has several spots in the Arts, Culture and Heritage branch. All positions are based in the Newtown area or nearby museums.

1. Immovable Heritage Intern (2 positions)

    • R10 109.86 per month if you have finished 360 credits
    • R3 500.00 per month if you’re a second‑year student
