The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA), an established Schedule 3A public entity operating under the legislative umbrella of the Skills Development Act of 1998, remains licensed to serve until the sunset of 31 March 2030.
CETA now beckons all sector-aligned actors, stakeholders, and invested entities to put forth their proposals for Discretionary Grant (DG) funding. These funds are purposed for executing skill-development conduits that catalyze transformation within South Africa’s construction arena. The primary intent of these grants lies in propelling both national and sector-centric imperatives while aligning with CETA’s ambitious Strategic Plan deliverables.
Applicants are expressly urged to shape their submissions with acute awareness of pivotal transformation thrusts, namely:
- Advancement in rural and township enclaves
- Empowerment initiatives for youth and women
- Integration and support for persons with disabilities
- Re-skilling of Military Veterans
- Embracing the transformational essence embedded within the NSDP 2030 trajectory
Of strategic note: Geographical regions actively engaging in substantial construction or infrastructural endeavors will garner preferential assessment, given their enhanced capacity to furnish viable, on-the-ground workplaces.
