What the internship offers
This is a 24‑month, paid internship run with the Energy and Water SETA (EWSETA). You will work in a public agency that manages the Breede‑Olifants catchment. The role gives you hands‑on experience in water governance, sustainability and infrastructure planning.
Who can apply
- South African citizen
- 35 years old or younger
- Currently unemployed
- Hold a relevant qualification (see the fields below)
- At least 60 % average in your final year
- Never completed any other internship, public or private
Available streams and qualifications
Water Resources Management (10 positions)
- Bachelor’s degree in Water Resources Management or Environmental Science
- Or BSc Honours in Microbiology, Chemistry or Biochemistry
Water Resource Planning – Hydrology / Geology (2 positions)
- Master’s degree in Hydrology, Hydrogeology, or Geology
Water Resource Planning – Engineering (2 positions)
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Agricultural Engineering
