Bidfood South Africa is looking for unemployed young people to join its 12‑month Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme 2025. This job will give you real work experience in the food‑service world, help you learn teamwork and communication, and open doors to a future career. The programme runs at Bidfood’s office in Bloemfontein, Free State.

What the YES Programme Is All About

The YES Programme is a fixed‑term, paid placement that lasts one year. It is designed to help you move from school to a full‑time job. Throughout the year you will:

  • Work in a real wholesale and retail food‑service environment
  • Try out different departments so you can see which path suits you best
  • Receive coaching and mentoring from experienced staff
  • Develop core work skills like discipline, teamwork, and clear communication
  • Build a resume that shows you can handle real‑world challenges

When you finish, you will have a strong foundation that makes it easier to find a permanent job in the food‑service sector or a related field.

Who Can Sign Up?

To be considered, you must:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Not be working at the moment
  • Not be a full‑time student right now
  • Have never taken part in the YES Programme before
  • Hold a Matric certificate or equivalent
  • Be ready to commit to the full 12 months
  • Be eager to learn, flexible, and a good team player
  • Show a real interest in the food‑service industry
