What is the AfriSam Bursary Programme 2027?
AfriSam, a leading quarry operator in the Western Cape, is offering bursaries to South African students who want to study engineering. The bursary will pay for up to 36 months of tuition, helping you finish a recognised diploma and start your career.
Who can apply?
You are eligible if you meet all of the following conditions:
- You are studying, or plan to study, a Civil Engineering Diploma at Peninsula Quarry **or** a Mechanical Engineering Diploma at Rheebok Quarry.
- The institution must be a recognised and accredited South African university or college.
- You have an overall academic average of at least 60 %.
- You have a clean behavioural record.
- You are a South African citizen. Preference is given to historically disadvantaged learners and female students.
What will you gain?
The bursary covers tuition for up to three years (36 months). It also gives you a direct pathway to work at one of AfriSam’s quarries, where you can apply what you learn in a real‑world setting.
