What You’ll Do
The main duties for an Environmental Monitor include:
- Daily Cleaning – Sweep, mop, and wipe down offices, toilets, reception areas, hallways, and open spaces.
- Set Up Meeting Rooms – Prepare boardrooms and meeting areas, and serve refreshments when needed.
- Spot Problems – Identify any issues (broken fixtures, spills, safety hazards) and report them to the supervisor.
- Lost Property – Handle items that people have left behind following the park’s procedures.
- Waste Management – Empty bins and move waste to the proper collection points.
- Supply Control – Keep track of cleaning materials and restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Stock Work – Help issue, receive, and count stock items.
- Support Emergencies – Assist during emergencies or special events as directed by the supervisor.
- Other Tasks – Perform any additional tasks that may arise and that help keep the office running smoothly.
You’ll keep the office environment clean and safe for staff and visitors, and you’ll gain useful experience in everyday workplace responsibilities.
