Office of the Pension Funds Adjudicator ICT Graduate Internship 2025

Want to jumpstart a career in technology while working with a government agency?
The Office of the Pension Funds Adjudicator (OPFA) is looking for fresh South African graduates to join its ICT Internship Programme 2025 in Pretoria, Gauteng. If you studied computer science, information technology, or a related field, this internship could give you real work experience in a professional setting and help you build skills that will last a lifetime.

About the OPFA

OPFA was created under the Pension Funds Act to look into complaints about pension funds. Its main job is to investigate and resolve disputes in a fair and cost‑effective way. Even though it deals with legal and financial matters, it also relies heavily on technology to keep everything running smoothly. That’s where the ICT internship comes in.

What the Internship Looks Like

The program is aimed at people who want to learn more about how computers and software keep an organization running. You’ll be part of a team that handles everyday IT tasks, from fixing hardware issues to helping with larger projects.

You’ll get hands‑on experience in:

  • Troubleshooting computer problems, both hardware and software
  • Recording and tracking IT problems so they get solved quickly
  • Escalating more complicated issues to senior staff when needed
  • Writing and updating documentation about changes and new releases
  • Keeping records of all IT work, both on paper and in electronic form
  • Helping the team plan and manage project activities
  • Taking part in audits, keeping a risk register, and tracking IT assets
  • Helping prepare monthly reports on IT budgets and payments
  • Attending and taking notes at IT meetings
  • Doing other tasks that your manager asks you to do

The internship is a chance to see the whole picture of how a government office keeps its technology healthy and secure.
