What the opportunity is
The centre, together with the Chemical Industries Education and Training Authority (CHIETA), offers a 12‑month Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in the Green Hydrogen Economy. The position is based at Wits Business School in Johannesburg, Gauteng, and starts on 1 October 2026.
Who can apply
You must hold a PhD earned within the last five years in a relevant field such as Energy Management, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Economics, Natural Sciences or a related discipline.
In addition to the degree, you should have:
- A current CV showing your doctoral qualification, publication record and teaching experience.
- A list of your research publications.
- A clear, industry‑relevant research agenda that focuses on green hydrogen.
- Ability to work full‑time at the African Energy Leadership Centre.
