What the internship is
The municipality will take four interns into its Corporate Services Department. There are two ICT Intern positions and two Registry Intern positions. Each intern works on a two‑year contract and receives a monthly salary of R5 000.
Who can apply
ICT Internship
- Grade 12
- Degree or National Diploma in Information Technology (or a related field such as Support Services or Computer Networks)
- NQF Level 6 qualification
- Full academic transcript
- Basic computer literacy
- Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and software support
Extra points for CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ or CCNA certificates.
Registry Internship

Tips to improve your chances

- Use a simple, professional layout for your CV; highlight any ICT certificates or any experience with office administration.
- Practice answering common interview questions about teamwork, problem‑solving and ethical conduct.
- Arrive early at the submission office and ask for a receipt or confirmation of receipt.
- Do not try to canvass municipal officials for the job; this can disqualify you.
Next steps
If you meet the criteria, prepare your application today and hand it in before the deadline. The municipality will interview shortlisted candidates and may verify your academic records, criminal background and credit history. You should hear back within 12 weeks of the closing date. Good luck – this could be the first step toward a lasting career in the public sector.
