What the internship is
Absa is running an Industrial and Organisational Psychology Internship Programme for 2027. It is accredited by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and lasts 12 months. The placement is in Johannesburg, Gauteng, from 1 February 2027 to the end of January 2028.
You must complete at least 260 days of work within that period.
Who can apply
To be eligible you need to:
- Be a South African citizen
- Have strong Honours results
- Have finished M1 or be on track to finish M1 by January 2027
- Be registered as a Student Psychologist with the HPCSA
- Be able to live in Johannesburg for the whole internship

By the end you will have:
- Hands‑on experience in a Pan‑African bank

- The HPCSA‑recognised internship credit needed for independent practice registration
