What the opportunity is
The Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training Authority (W&RSETA), together with Sekhukhune TVET College, is running an 18-month internship programme. Successful applicants will work at Vodacom and TFG retail stores in the Sekhukhune District, Limpopo. This gives you practical training in the wholesale and retail sector.
Who can apply
You must be a South African youth under 35 years old. You need to have completed one of these qualifications in Marketing Management or Business Management:
- Matric
- NCV Level 2 to Level 4
- N4 to N6 with 12 subjects completed
TVET College graduates are welcome. Students living with disabilities are encouraged to apply. People who have already finished another experiential training programme should not apply.
What you will gain
You will get hands-on experience in customer service, sales, product promotion, and store merchandising. The programme also covers business administration tasks like filing, record keeping, and retail reporting. You will learn about stock management, point-of-sale systems, inventory control, communication, teamwork, and workplace professionalism.
