ALPLA South Africa YES Programme 2026 – How to Apply

ALPLA South Africa is looking for unemployed South African youth to join its Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme 2026 – a chance to get real work experience right now. ALPLA South Africa runs the programme in two locations and offers 12‑month contracts.

What the YES Programme offers

The YES Programme gives you a place in a world‑class manufacturing environment. You will work alongside skilled professionals and learn on the job. Positions are available in Johannesburg North (Lanseria) and Durban, covering engineering, administration, quality, and more.

Who can apply

To be eligible you must:

  • Be a South African citizen who is currently unemployed
  • Be aged between 18 and 34 years
  • Have at least a Grade 12 certificate
  • Not have taken part in a YES Programme before

Available positions (2026)

Industrial Engineering Support (YES Programme)

Location: Lanseria, Johannesburg North

Main purpose: Assist with process analysis, time studies, line balancing, layout improvements and waste reduction.

Additional requirements:

  • Industrial Engineering diploma or degree
  • Live in Cosmo City, Diepsloot, Randburg, Roodepoort, Krugersdorp or nearby suburbs

Skills Development Facilitator and Administrator

Location: Johannesburg North

Main purpose: Support training administration, coordinate learners, ensure SETA compliance and help with reporting.

Mould Repair Technician (YES Programme)

Location: Johannesburg North

Main purpose: Help with mould repairs and general maintenance in the factory.

Operations Administrator (YES Programme)

Location: Durban

Main purpose: Keep records, coordinate the office, and support daily plant operations.

B‑BBEE Administrator (YES Programme)

Location: Johannesburg North

Main purpose: Assist with B‑BBEE compliance, reporting and documentation.

Millwright (YES Programme)

Location: Johannesburg North

Main purpose: Perform preventative and planned maintenance on plant equipment.

Receptionist Assistant (YES Programme)

Location: Johannesburg North

Main purpose: Manage the reception desk, welcome visitors and provide basic admin support.

Quality Support (YES Programme)

Location: Johannesburg North

Main purpose: Help maintain product quality, reduce waste and follow operational standards.
