What the internship is
Sol Plaatje Municipality in Kimberley, Northern Cape, is offering a 2‑year, paid internship in its Financial Services directorate. The role is part of the FMG programme and is designed to train graduates in municipal budgeting, supply‑chain management and financial reporting.
Who can apply
You may apply if you meet all of the following:
- Hold a BCom degree in Accounting or a comparable qualification.
- Are comfortable using a computer, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Have some knowledge of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) – this is an advantage, not a must.
- Can work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Are currently unemployed and have not taken part in a similar internship before.
