What’s the job?
The Western Cape Government has started its 2026/2027 Graduate Internship Programme. It’s a paid internship that lets fresh graduates who haven’t yet found a job get real work experience in different provincial departments. If you’re 20‑35 years old, a South African citizen, live in the Western Cape and have a certificate, diploma, degree or higher, this could be the first step toward a career.

Who Can Apply
To qualify you must:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be between 20 and 35 years old.
- Live in the Western Cape.
- Hold at least a Certificate (NQF Level 5) or higher qualification.
- Not have a job right now – you should be looking for practical work experience.
We especially welcome students who may not have money for a car or internet, or who don’t have a career adviser. This programme can give you a foothold in the job market.

What You’ll Need to Show
- A current Curriculum Vitae in MS Word or similar format.
- A certified copy of your ID.
- Proof of your qualification – a diploma, degree certificate or transcripts.
All documents will be checked. If any part of the application is missing, it will be rejected.

- Submit your profile.
- Verify your email.
Step 2 – Apply

- Submit and wait for a confirmation email.

What You’ll Learn
